I think I am the last living witness of pre-war cinema in France. One day I will not be around and on that day there will be no one to remember my memories of these things and be able to place the films of our time in the true place they deserve. The film that was released in April 1934 is not exactly like the films that we see at the Cinematheque these days; So I ask myself if my films are even worth it - and don't think I'm trying to act humble - for some people to talk about, like I talk about their films. my wife
