This novel is the story of an illegal boy who born in a far village from a young and beautiful mother and after a while she sent him to his father and disappears. The boy grows up in his grandfather's house and enters the Rome University and falls in love with a rich girl; he finds his mother in a bad situation. He takes his mother to home to live together after his marriage, but his wife doesn't agree and leaves him. On the other hand, his mother decided to suicide not to destroy her son's life. At the last moment he finds a medal beside her mother, he opens it and sees cinders in it. Therefore life is as cinders in her eyes.
