Saad Hajo is a Syrian-Swedish cartoonist and cartoonist, born in Damascus in 1968 and graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1989. He has lived and worked in Norrköping, Sweden, since 2005. He has published daily for over twenty years in mostly Arabic-language newspapers. He has held and organized several solo and group exhibitions around the world, including a joint exhibition titled "The Nightingale" with renowned Polish artist Pawel Kuznitski in 2014 at the Kameleont Art Gallery in Norrköping, Sweden, and at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, United Arab Emirates. He won the Ewert Carlsson (EWK) Prize for Political Illustration in the Kingdom of Sweden in 2015. He was also selected as a member of the international jury for the 2018 World Press Cartoon (WPC) in Caldas da Renia, Portugal.
