Abi Hamed Muhammad bin Muhammad al-Ghazali al-Shafa'i, nicknamed Hujjat al-Islam Zain al-Din al-Tusi and Imam Muhammad al-Ghazali (450-505 A.H.) is an omniscient, philosopher, theologian and Iranian jurist and one of the greatest Sufism men of the fifth century of Hijri. In the West, he is better known as Al-Ghazali and Algazel. Muhammad Ghazali published the works of Khorasan in Tos in 450 AH. In his childhood, he learned his teachings in his hometown. His father made a living by spinning wool. He used to sell what he grew in a shop in the wool sellers' market, and that is why he was called Ghazali. Mohammad Ghazali's father was a pious and pious person and often attended the gatherings of jurists. He had two sons: Muhammad and Ahmed. The two were still young when he passed away. According to his will, his sons were entrusted to one of his friends, whose name was Abu Hamid Ahmad bin Muhammad al-Razkani and who was a Sufi by profession. That man also followed the will until the father's inheritance ended. One day he said to them: "Whatever was left for you from the father, I used it for you. I am a poor man with no wealth. Now you have to go to a school to study jurisprudence so that you can earn bread with what you get as a monthly salary, which is hard for me to have an empty pocket." Muhammad and his brother Ahmad inevitably went to one of the students' schools in Neishabur and continued their studies. Abu Hamid Mohammad Ghazali was immensely intelligent and quick-witted. He studied religious and literary sciences with Ahmad al-Razkhani and then studied for a while in one of the Tous schools. Then he went to Jurjan to Abu Nasr Ismail. After some time, Tus returned to his hometown and studied and repeated lessons in Tus for three years.
