Dr. Zabihullah Safa is one of the first distinguished professors of literature at Tehran University and one of the famous writers of contemporary Iran. His main fame is due to the detailed literary history that he wrote in eight volumes until the beginning of the Qajar era. In addition, he corrected important texts of ancient Persian literature and published them with comments and explanations. Dr. Zabihullah Safa was born in Shahmirzad Semnan in 1290 and was one of the first people to receive a doctorate from Tehran University. And he was the head of the Faculty of Literature for many years and finally died in Lübeck, Germany in 1378.
