Sense and Sensibility is a novel written by Jane Austen, which was first published in 1811. Marian Dashwood is a simple and unassuming girl who, when she falls in love with a charming but unsuitable man named John Willoughby, ignores the warning of her sister, Eleanor, who tells her that Marian's hasty and reckless behavior will make her a subject.
