The book of the spiritual Masnavi consists of 26,000 verses and 6 books and is one of the best books of ancient Persian mystical literature and Persian wisdom after Islam. This book is written in the form of a Masnavi poem; which is also the title of the book. Although other poets such as Sanai and Attar had used the Masnavi poem before Rumi, Rumi's Masnavi is of a higher literary level. In this book, 424 consecutive stories are told in the form of allegories about the hardships of man on his way to God. The first eighteen verses of the first book of the spiritual Masnavi are known as the Nai-nameh and are a summary of the concept of the 6 books. This book was written at the request of Rumi's student, Hesam al-Din Hassan Chalabi, between 662 and 672 AH/1260 AD. The title of the book, Masnavi, is actually a type of poetic structure used in this book. In this book, Rumi has gathered a collection of ideas from Iranian-religious culture. This book was selected by The Guardian magazine as one of the 100 best books in human history.
