Until recently, they have not been available. Special attention is paid to opposite pairs: signifier and signified, lang (language system) and parol (speech), simultaneity and temporality; things that have shown the stamp of structuralism throughout the humanities. This book sheds light on Saussure's legacy in structuralism (and post-structuralism) on the one hand and phenomenology on the other hand - the two main philosophical traditions of the 20th century - and is evidence that Saussurean linguistics is still relevant today in the third decade of the 21st century. The reader is free to read the book alone or with the course.
