"A Case for Kate" is a whimsical detective story about a girl who dreams of becoming a reporter. Together with her favorite, talkative target Rupert, she never misses an opportunity to solve a mystery. Together with her dad, several extravagant passengers and a clumsy trainee conductor, Kate sets off on a week-long train journey all the way to the Arctic. There, her scientist mother works at a research station. But as soon as the train leaves, some of the passengers lose valuable and not-so-valuable things. Armed with the "Special Correspondent's Handbook", Kate sets out to solve the case. But she won't be able to unravel it quickly - certainly not after a series of unexpected discoveries!
