In the gap between the two constitutional revolutions and the Islamic revolution, the sense of civilization was a part of the feelings that emerged among Muslims, including Iranians. This feeling gradually led to the emergence of a discourse that was formed especially from around 1300 AD and many works with different tendencies were written; The works, each of which focused on a part of the topics and components of Islamic civilization, including criticism of Western civilization. Some of these works were translated and some were authored.
The mentioned discourse was very effective in building the political, social and cultural thoughts of the Iranian society before the revolution and was one of the factors of the movement of the society towards the revolution of 1357. In this book, we have tried to examine this discourse based on existing writings, including books and articles, and to show how these writers pursued their goals within this discourse.
