Nekrasov takes place in 1950s Paris. It follows the life of a hapless journalist named Sibilot who works for the right-wing French newspaper, Soir á Paris. His work is mostly writing anti-communist propaganda. A major turning point in his life is when he can't come up with a good idea and his boss, Jules Pallotin, tells him he'll fire him if he doesn't come up with any.
However, during her period of unemployment and depression, Georges de Valera, an internationally wanted fraudster, comes to her house.
