“A Novel in Nine Letters” is a short story by Fyodor Dostoevsky, first published in “Short Stories” (1863). Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky (1821 – 1881) was a Russian novelist, essayist, short story writer, journalist, and philosopher, whose psychological penetration into the darkest recesses of the human heart, together with his unsurpassed moments of illumination, had an immense influence on 20th-century fiction. Dostoevsky is considered one of the greatest psychologists in world literature. Even the minor works of Fyodor Dostoevsky have a profound and dynamic psychological inquiry that always reaches deep into the heart. The book is bilingual. We believe that reading bilingual books (parallel texts) and inferring vocabulary and grammar is a far superior method of language learning than traditional memorization. It is also much less painful.
