Roman med kärlekstema skriven av en mycket ung författarinna bosatt i Iran. Handlingen kretsar runt en kvinna som ständig får förslag om giftermål men son avvisar alla friare i väntan på att den man hon egentligen älskar ska visa henne intresse. Mannen gifter sig emellertid med en annan kvinna som han senare får svårt att samleva med. När han till sist inser den första kvinnans kärlek kommer han att hamna vid ett vägskäl. Han vet nämligen inte vilken av kvinnorna han ska välja och deras liv går in i en rad mindre trevliga händelser.
