Journey to the Center of the Earth is a novel written by Jules Verne, which was first published in 1864. Jules Verne, a very popular, forward-thinking, and prolific French writer, takes the audience on journeys to the depths of the sea and beyond the stars in his works. The grandfather of modern science fiction has prepared a trip to the center of the earth for us in this fascinating novel. The mission begins when a professor named Otto Lidenbrock finds a centuries-old scrap of paper in an even older book. The professor's nephew, Axel, deciphers it and finds the instructions to the center of the earth. They make their way to a dormant volcano in Iceland and go deep into it. While going deep into the volcano, these explorers face human history, geological changes, prehistoric plants, and animals, and finally, reach a new understanding of the origins of the human race.
