In general, this book is placed in the ranks of "Nashiha al-Muluk" and policies. Political letter writing has a long history in Persian literature and its roots go back to pre-Islamic literature. In such books, the author mentions the basics and principles that the king must observe in running the country. The literary type of "karnameh" which was common in Pahlavi literature and was continued in another form in Shahnameh, can be considered as a type of policy. Policy letters can be divided into two general groups in terms of storytelling and the role and importance of the story in them: In the first group, the author describes one of the necessities of ownership and then narrates a story to prove it. Some of the books in this group have more stories, such as the policy of Khwaja Nizam al-Mulk, and some have fewer stories, such as Nasiha al-Muluk by Imam Muhammad Ghazali. The second group is based on stories, such as Marzbannameh, Sindbadnameh, and Bakhtiyarnameh. The rest of the souls are placed in the second group.
