This work is a Persian poetic translation of Imam Ali’s (peace be upon him) testament to his son Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), composed in the 6th–7th century AH by Seyyed Ashraf al-Din Hasan Ghaznavi and calligraphed by Ibn Savaji. The Arabic text is cross-referenced with the version found in Tuhaf al-ʿUqūl, with noted discrepancies. The translation reflects the literary style of medieval Persian poetry and conveys ethical, mystical, and political counsel from the Commander of the Faithful to the Master of Martyrs. The introduction includes codicological notes and historical context, while appendices feature manuscript images and a prose translation by Ayatollah Jannati.
