Bruce Lincoln Professor Carolyn E. Haskell is a theology major at the University of Chicago, where he is a member of the Committees on Cultural History and the Ancient Mediterranean World at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He is the author of nine books, including Theorizing Myth: Narrative, Ideology, and Scholarship and Sacred Terrors: Thinking About Religion After 9/11, both published by the University of Chicago Press. Before joining the University of Chicago, Lincoln taught at the University of Minnesota (1976-1994), where he founded the Program in Comparative Studies in Discourse and Society.
