Nagheme Samini is one of the most prolific playwrights in Iran. He started writing plays in 1370 at the same time as he began studying drama at the University of Tehran, and while teaching playwriting and theater history in Iran and abroad, he has been writing non-stop for the stage for nearly thirty years now. Many of his plays have been performed inside and outside of Iran and have attracted audiences from different cultures and languages. Revelations of Magic is a collection of his published and unpublished plays up to 1400. This collection includes thirty plays and an introduction explaining how they were written.
The readers of this book can get acquainted with the playwright's thirty-year journey, from early etudes to popular and well-known plays, and observe the influence of cultural and social periods on his works.
It is the first time that the collection of works of an Iranian female playwright is published in these dimensions.
