Today, when an 18-year-old young man, in a more serious stage of his social life, steps into Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), an important hub for training the country's engineering, technical and scientific workforce, he should know how this important institution was created and grew; and why and how he can act to preserve, promote and hand it over to the next generation.
