On the fateful night that shatters his perfect life, David wakes up and finds himself immersed in a scene where his son Matthew has been murdered. From the first hours, the police and his own family suspect that he is responsible for the brutal murder. But that is not how it happened. David, however, cannot prove it. Destroyed by grief and tormented by guilt, he lets himself go to his witness helplessly as his defense line crumbles and his marriage collapses, ending up accepting a life sentence.
After five years spent in total isolation, David receives a visit from his sister-in-law, who shows him a recent photo taken in a park. In the background, barely visible, there is a child. And that child is Matthew.
Is it possible that David's son is still alive? And yet that little boy in the photo is not a lookalike. His heart tells him so.
