This story tells the story of young Schmidt's quest to learn the secret of Chopin's music from a complicated and hot-tempered teacher named Pilinska. When Schmitt reaches the age of nine and hears Chopin's music, he is determined to learn the piano, but the performance of Bach, Mozart, and Debussy's works is very simple and trivial for him, and for this reason, Chopin eludes him. It seemed that since he had not benefited from the tenderness and spirit of music, Chopin's escape seemed obvious to him.
When he went to Paris to study philosophy, at the age of twenty, he met a strict and rather rude piano teacher named Madame Pilinska, and he encountered difficult, complicated, and strange exercises that had nothing to do with piano training. He had to stare at the leaves when the wind blows, or go to the flower garden at dawn and pick the flowers without the dew falling on them. In fact, in this short story, Schmidt takes the audience to his youth and portrays the manifestations of love and music before the eyes of the audience.
