Abdur Rahim Tashit (born in 1323 in Tehran) is a professor of religions, mysticism and philosophy who also has a long career in politics and is one of the oldest students of Allameh Mohammad Taghi Jafari. He was the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Organization "Eco" in 1379 to 1381 and also the Ambassador of Iran to Japan, Sweden, Norway and Finland. He was the head of the special office of the prime minister and the deputy minister advisor in the Bazargan government. He also has the certificate of Deputy Minister of Oil during the time of Ali Akbar Moin Far, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Secretary of the Islamic Association of Engineers of Iran. He is currently the head of the World Religions Research Center and the manager of the Foresight Group of the Academy of Sciences. He graduated in petroleum from Abadan Petroleum College (1345), business administration from Harvard Business School - Iran branch (1352) and a doctorate in foreign religions from Uppsala University, Sweden (1365).
