Eastern Light, Western Shadow consists of fifteen discourses in the realm of socio-philosophical theology and is aimed at explaining our cultural and historical relationship with the West. Although its articles are different, the title and topic of the book have been examined in each one. The essential need of humanities in contemporary Iran is the connection between abstract and concrete ways of thinking. If it is not possible to use the rich intellectual heritage in its general sense to analyze and interpret the upcoming issues, we should witness an increase in problems and issues. Therefore, the approximation between abstract and concrete thought especially helps to examine a major part of current issues based on a rational point of view. This book has tried to some extent to plan and analyze some of these issues from this point of view. Therefore, the design and explanation of the theory of connection between abstraction and concreteness is the special approach of this book, which has been designed and examined in the subject and content of its articles.
