"Henry Carbone and Suhravardi's Philosophy" is a work by "Hasan Seyed Arab" that examines the research of this outstanding orientalist about one of the important Iranian philosophers.
"Sheikh Shahabuddin Yahya Suhravardi" is one of the philosophers called "Eshraqi" philosophical tradition, and for this reason, he is known as "Sheikh Eshraq". Since none of his works were translated into Latin for a long time, he remained unknown in the West. However, several philosophical circles in the Islamic East studied his works from the 13th century onwards. Around the middle of the 20th century, "Henry Carbone" worked tirelessly to edit and publish Suhrvardi's works; Efforts that created great interest in his novel philosophical system.
"Shahabuddin Suhravardi" presents the original Platonic criticism in the fields of logic, physics, epistemology, psychology, and metaphysics. With this work, he explains in detail the concepts and theories of epistemology such as logic and psychology and metaphysical concepts such as ontology and cosmology. He divided logic into three parts rejected the essentialist definition of Ibn Sina's logic and reduced the number of forms of analogy.
The tragic end of "Suhrvardi" was the beginning of a long history of interpretations by pros and cons of re-evaluating his works. By the end of the 13th century, at least two of his works were readily available and studied in the major educational centers of Syria, Damascus, and Aleppo, in Baghdad, Iraq, and in Maragheh, Iran, some of which were most likely published earlier. . His death created two major trends in the exegetical tradition of the 13th century and shaped subsequent developments; The first tendency emphasizes the purely discursive and more systematic philosophical aspects of the works of "Sohrvardi" and the other focuses on the symbolic and allegorical aspects of what was called the Enlightenment tradition and expands it.
