The discourse of war and planning in the middle history of Iran is an attempt in the field of historical studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. Clarifying the structure of two institutions, the emirate, and the ministry, in Iran's governance, from the arrival of the Turks to Iran until the end of the Timurid rule, and its reflection in historical texts and social context, are among the author's goals in writing this work. The discursive analysis of history by using Van Leeuwen's discourse analysis approach has provided a special theoretical framework for the study of historical texts so that it can analyze the ups and downs of the two institutions of the Emirate and the Ministry in the form of two discourses of war and strategy in the middle history of Iran. In this work, Van Leeuwen's principles and method of critical discourse analysis are introduced in a precise way and a logical link is established between this approach and the analysis of historical texts. Finally, since this book makes a persistent effort to link history with interdisciplinary topics, it can open the way for researchers and scholars in the field of history to look at historical topics from a new perspective and be a suitable model to avoid the repetitive and clichéd repetition of historical narratives.
