This book is not about victims. It tells the stories of young and ambitious people who lived life to the fullest. They loved and believed, were disappointed and were wrong. They caught historical changes, witnessed the emergence of a new country. And it was they who were destined to shape its cultural face. But they were interrupted mid-sentence. The fate of all the heroes of this book ended tragically, as did the lives of a significant part of the entire Belarusian intelligentsia of that time.
