This book is written according to the title of the lesson "Saadi's poems" and of course, it can be useful for the general public who are interested in Saadi's poetry. At the beginning of the book, the "Description of Saadi's condition and works" is discussed and the important points raised about his life, name, lineage, purity, birth, death, and his works are examined. In the introduction of Saadi's works, an effort has been made to introduce sources about each of Saadi's works so that it is an almost comprehensive guide for students and those interested in his works.
In another part, "The course of the poem in Persian literature" has been briefly examined. In this section, some important points about the most important ode poets have been mentioned and an attempt has been made to give a general view of this literary format. In the section on Saadi's odes, a brief overview of all of Saadi's odes has been made and the subject of each of his odes has been examined so that by reading this section, one can get to know Saadi's odes and the various themes of his odes.
In another part, with the same approach, the analysis of "the course of Ghazal in Persian poetry" is discussed. Various and sometimes conflicting opinions have been raised about Saadi's lyric poetry, and the author has briefly quoted some of them. In a separate section, some points have been raised about the characteristics of Saadi's lyric poetry.
In the following, the author discussed "Saadi's worldview in Bostan" and tried to summarize the important concepts of the ten chapters of Bostan and obtain a totality of Saadi's opinions and beliefs. In the following, some linguistic coordinates of Bostan and other poems of Saadi are mentioned.
The main part of the book contains a selection of Saadi's poems. Almost 2000 verses from Bostan, 50 sonnets, 15 odes, some pieces, quatrains, trigonometry, nouns, and jokes of Saadi are included in this section. The summary of Bostan, has been done in such a way that the line of thought of the book is not disturbed, and the basis of this section is based on a summary of the main plot of Bostan, in such a way that if someone reads it, it is as if he has read all of Bostan.
The author has proceeded differently in describing Bostan's verses: he has summarized all the different opinions expressed by Bostan's commentators about various verses. So the description of this part can be called "Jamae al-Shruh" of Bostan; What was expected to be done by Zinda Yad Yousefi in describing Bostan, but this did not happen. Of course, in this section, the writer did not completely submit to the comments of the commentators, and in some places, he also expressed his own opinions.
