Anam Kajeji was born in "Al-Karadeh" neighborhood in Baghdad in 1952. He is an Iraqi journalist and novelist. Anam has been nominated for the Booker Prize of the Arab world and won the "Lagadre" prize of France. Anam was born in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and studied journalism at the university. Before immigrating to Paris and studying at the Sorbonne University in France, he worked in newspapers and radio in Baghdad, and in 1986 he received a master's degree and a doctorate in journalism from the Sorbonne University. Kajeji studied at the school of nuns "Al-Tadafa". He is currently working for Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper published in London in Paris and the magazine "Kol al-Asada" published in Sharjah.
