Contemporary Iranian poetry has been one of the most important trends in social and political literature. Nima and Shamlou are mentioned as the most prominent representatives of this poetic trend. In the flow of contemporary poetry, the lyrical style of Nima and Shamlou has been called "social symbolism" (Shafi'i Kodkani, 2013: 55 and 56). Symbolism or school symbolism is literary and artistic; which became popular in Europe and America at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This school, like other European literary schools, more or less left an impact on the process of literary development of other nations. In the meantime, Persian poetry and literature have not remained far from the sphere of influence of this school. In the following article, we have tried to look at poetry from the perspective of political thought as the most important cultural/civilizational phenomenon and arena for the manifestation of Iranian thought and mentality.
