Mohammad Dehghani is an Iranian writer, translator, literary critic, and journalist. He is a former faculty member of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Tehran University. He was born in 1344 in Arak and continued his studies until the end of high school in the same city. He has a bachelor's degree in Persian language and literature from Chamran University of Ahvaz (1997) and a master's degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (1999). Dehghani completed his Ph.D. course in Persian language and literature at the University of Tehran in 1377 and wrote his Ph.D. thesis on the subject of the history of literary criticism in Iran under the guidance of Abdul Hossein Zarin Koob. Then he went to Semnan to teach and two years later he was invited to Tehran University to teach. He was a visiting professor at Peking University in the academic year 2004-2005. He is also one of the authors of New Look magazine.
