"Building a Bridge" is the latest book by Kostyantyn Moskalts, one of the most interesting contemporary Ukrainian essayists. The texts collected under its cover can be conditionally divided into several content parts: meditative, worldview-contemplative essays; essays about favorite writers, philosophers or saints, as well as about writing and literature; essays devoted to the world of digital and technical reality, which the author is interested in; essays-narratives from life; and essays written as reflections on the events of the war.
Common to the texts of the publication is an exquisite style, erudition, a good sense of humor and subtle empathy — where they are appropriate. In the book there is a place for sadness and for joy, for laughter and for thinking about eternal things, such as love and death, forgiveness and compassion, youth and old age, etc. The need to reflect on what is important is, in a certain sense, our daily construction of a bridge, thanks to which we get to the shores, until recently unknown and inaccessible to us.
