When she arrives at the country house in the late autumn, she finds a messy life behind Tiina, where, among other things, her father's portrait is stolen. An empty spot on the wall brings to mind memories of childhood in Tartu in the 1950s and 1960s, where empty spaces surrounded China in the streets of the post-war city and between its home walls. The former home of Fraternitas Estica, next to the home, stands out as a symbol of lost time, as well as the wonderful Mrs. Wunderlich. Adult battles and reconciliations bring great changes and final goodbyes to the child. Losses will be saddened for years, and only in her adulthood does Tiina realize that no memory can run away forever. At least once, every secret has to find the listener.
