Understanding the regional and international developments of the Middle East and North Africa in the contemporary period can be made possible by classifying its existing wide conflicts in domestic, regional, and international dimensions. This book deals with these issues in four parts and ten chapters. The first part deals with the position of the Middle East in the world system, and the second part describes and analyzes the territorial, border, and ethnic and tribal differences between the countries of the region from the beginning of the 20th century onwards. The third part is dedicated to ideological political conflicts, and the role of nationalist and Islamist ideology in the conflicts between the countries of the region is examined, and the fourth part includes the conflicts between Arabs and Israel. In the different chapters of the last part, the wars between the Arabs and Israel and the issue of peace between the parties from the early 1920s to 2022, i.e. the Abraham contracts between Israel and several Arab countries, have been described. Considering the diversity and complexity of the peace process, the author has tried to make it easier for Iranian students, researchers, and enthusiasts to understand the process of war and peace between the two sides by classifying the peace plans based on their proponents and, more importantly, the content and purpose of the plans.
