Dr. Karim Sanjabi (1934-2005), Minister of Culture in the government of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, was one of the leading politicians in the national movement of the Iranian oil industry and the special judge of his government in the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. He resigned from this position shortly after joining the cabinet and was elected to support the government in parliamentary debates as a representative of the people of Kermanshah in the 17th National Consultative Assembly (1933-1931).
