Despite the interdisciplinary nature of modern stylistics, the different approaches of this scientific branch have neglected to invent methodological tools that can study all human artistic creations; Perceptual stylistics has been formed to solve this deficiency. In this approach, stylistics is a generality of which literary stylistics is only a part. This wholeness, as an allegory, is like a puzzle that is completed by putting its pieces together; Other parts of this comprehensive stylistics are the stylistics of painting, architecture, calligraphy, music, and other arts that complement the stylistics of literature. This book was compiled to show style as a whole that is not limited to literature and to express the fact that style in literature and other arts is an expression of the dominant thought of a period. To achieve this goal, after introducing the theoretical foundations, the author has extracted the dominant thought of the Safavid period in Iran and the Gurkanian period in India. Then, with the tools of perceptual stylistics, a comparative analysis of style in artistic (architecture, calligraphy, and painting) and literary (poetry and prose of Indian style) creations has been done.
