A man is arrested by two regime agents while having his afternoon drink at a sports cafe - although we don't know exactly what his crime is or what he's up to, and apparently neither does he. What follows is a drive to Special Branch headquarters and the interrogation that no doubt awaits him there. As they approach their destination, the oppressed and the oppressor, the arrested and the arrester face their deepest human feelings. They are trapped in a psychological game. As the plot slowly unfolds, so do the main characters. Part thriller and thriller, part political satire, The Weakness Point is just as powerful today as it was when it was first released in 1965. This story foreshadows the military dictatorship that took over Greece just two years later. The Flaw is Antonis Samarakis' best-known work which has been translated into over thirty languages and won the prestigious Grand Prix de Littérature Poilicière in France in 1970.
