Arman Mostofi was born in 1326 AH (2506 Iranian) in one of the villages near Shaheswar. He graduated from Tehran University in the field of Journalism and started working as a reporter in Iran's National Television from 1348 (2528). Before the Islamic revolution, he held various responsibilities in the National Radio and Television Organization of Iran, up to the level of general management, and served in different parts of the country (Tehran, Rasht, Gorgan, Khoramabad, Yazd and Bandar Abbas). After the Islamic Revolution, in 1358 (2538), the Cleansing Commission sentenced him to permanent dismissal from government service and sent his case to the Islamic Revolution Court as an anti-revolution.
